It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

Devnet came into being on 21st November, 1996 after persistent effort for almost two years. It was a proud moment and is still a proud moment for all of us in Devnet for a couple of reasons. The first reason is the obvious one – of being recognized by the Government as a responsible organization. Now we were ready to take serious assignments with the Government as well as national and international organizations. The second one is of course the ethical reason – the registration was achieved fairly, without use of unethical or unscrupulous means. In the last two decades much water has flown under the bridge and the organization has seen its lows and highs. Many young individuals with an inclination towards the social sector joined the ranks with Devnet, contributing to the objectives and in the process, they also empowered themselves in the sector.

Embracing Gandhiji’s ideologies of rural reconstruction, SARVODAYA, and ANTYODAYA, the organization initially focused on dropout and irregular children by establishing 10 NFE centers in Chandan block of Banka district, Bihar. Gradually, Gram Jyoti built trust within the community, aiming to improve food security and quality of life for the rural, economically backward, and excluded populations of Santhal Pargana and neighbouring regions. In 2001, they launched a Livelihood Promotion Program in Mohanpur block, Deoghar district, focusing on water conservation and land development with support from CAPART, GAA, BBADF, PACS/DFID, and NABARD.
